We Don't Do Risk Management. We are all OPTIMISTS at heart.

Risk management should not be just a project management activity. We can raise a project team’s ability to manage risk and therefore avoid project failures.

This session is a walkthrough of the method and games (with practice) used to implement a whole team approach to proactive risk management.

All projects have risks. The success of a project can often be dictated by how well the project team manages that risk. In this session we will see how using Agile practices are better suited to managing project risk.
 
Attendees will learn how to:
– Teaches a lean approach to risk management and the value of continuous experimentation (waste reduction)
– Build trust between team members;
– Find ways to be more efficient and collaborative;
– Define, break down, and prioritize work.

– Recommended for teams new to agile
– Rewards creativity and team collaboration
– Especially valuable for design & engineering teams
– Great team building aspect (big fun factor)
 
The session will be separated in 5 parts:
– Part 1 (15 mins): Introduction to the topic. Overview of the topic and share personal experience.
– Part 2 (10 mins): Icebreaker. Warm up the audience with an icebreaker game and prepare them for the next slot where we will have a session for Learning by doing.
– Part 3 (40 mins): Gamification. Game time where we will play a couple of games. The whole point of the exercise its to teach the teams lean approach to the risk management and the value of continuous experimentation. 
Discussion with the audience where we will outline several specific take-aways for the attendees of this session.
– Part 4 (15 mins): Conclusions.
– Part 5 (10 mins): Q&A.

I am an Agile Coach and Product owner. I pursue my passion for coaching software organizations of all sizes incrementally adopt Agile and Lean practices to build collaborative cultures and deliver lasting value early and often. I believe it is important to continually be learning and growing. My dream is to be a lifelong learner; growing each day. I am also passionate about leadership development and seeing people reach their full potential. I have 13 years of professional experience spanning the software life-cycle. I began my career as a software engineer but last 8 years I am focused on helping teams adopt lean incremental, iterative approaches.. I also hold PhD in Computer Science-Economics. When I am not Coaching you can find me messing around with Product management work.I am an Agile Coach and Product owner. We believe that we have lot to learn and it is only possible when we have strong community of Agile practitioners. As a part of giving back to the community, we have following programs.
Meetups/Workshops
We conduct regular meetups and workshop from Agile Practitioners to companies, colleges and community.
Scrum Certification Program
We have conducted many Scrum Certification Program in Nepal which has largely benefited in expanding agile learning in Nepal. We regularly conduct Scrum Certfication programs.
Trainings
We provide trainings on Agile and Scrum practices for the one who want to expand their understanding in Agile.
Agile Mentorship/Coaching
We conduct mentoring and consulting programs for the organisation that are willing to transform fully to Agile organisation. Our team will also be involved in few daily standups, scrum planning and other important scrum ceremonies.
